Ardella James, of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at her assisted living residence located in Leawood, KS.
Ardella was born in Columbus, GA, to Young and Louanna Davis. She was united in marriage to Lee A. James, and to this union three children were born (Bruce, Michael and Robin). She was a member of the Eastside Community COGIC. She had several professions along the way such as a bookkeeper, beauty shop operator, volunteer and world traveler, but the one profession she will be best remembered for is the “Great Protector” of our family.
She was preceded in death by her sisters: Bertha, Louise and Gladys; brother: Young; and son: Michael.
She is survived by her husband: Lee; two children: Bruce and wife Donna and Robin; grandson: Adam; great grandchild: DeAndre and two sisters: Ann and husband Willie, and Clara; as well as numerous other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery, Lee’s Summit, MO, with Reverend Ron Kambuku officiating.
