Bart O. Laughlin, 53, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away May 25, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church, 114 SE Douglas St., Lee’s Summit, MO. Date to be announced soon.
Mr. Laughlin was born September 22, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to John Laughlin and Carolyn Fugate. He was a graduate of Blue Springs High School in 1980. Bart was a stationary engineer. He was a leader in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts with Troop and Crew 264. He enjoyed hunting and camping, and spending time with his family. Bart was a member of the Mic-O-Say Tribe and Rocky Mountain Fur Company.
Bart was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Marian Means and Bob and Virginia Laughlin; and his sister-in-law, Sheila Laughlin.
Survivors include his wife Shauna, daughter, Stevie and son, Josh, all of the home; father and step-mother, John and Kathy Laughlin; mother, Carolyn Fugate; brother, Doug Laughlin; niece, Alex Laughlin; adopted son, Nate Owens; best friend, Bryan Everhart.
Bart will be fondly missed by his loving family and all who knew and loved him.
