Dos Sim, 87, Kansas City, MO, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015. Visitation and Funeral services will be held at 9:00am on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Heartland Funeral Home in Raytown, Missouri. Mrs. Dos Sim was born on October 2, 1927 in Battambang, Cambodia.
Dos Sim was a loving wife, mother of 10 children, grandmother to 11 grandchildren and had one great grandbaby. She is survived by 6 of her children: daughter Kim Cheat Chuon and husband Neou Lee, grandchildren Richard, Monica (Tyler), and Angelica, and great grandbaby Emelia. Son Sokhom Sok and wife Sopheap, grand-daughters Felicia, Jenifer, and Mary. Daughter Shawna and husband Naji Ahmad, grand-sons Alex, Sammy, and Adam. Daughter Vanny and husband Sarik Chuob. Son Vanna Sok and grandchildren Nary and Allen. Youngest Son Vannat Sok. And one niece Hourm and husband Sakhoeurth Prak and their children Lawrence and Lorena.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sok Thalang, and 4 of her children in Cambodia.
Dos Sim was kind and full of happiness. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grand kids and went on many family trips including several to her home in Cambodia. She also enjoyed working in her garden and cooking traditional Cambodian food. She will be dearly missed by many family and friends.

I work with her daughters Shawna and Vanny at BlueCross/BlueShield and know how much they loved their mom. I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
