Jack R. Keller

Jack R. Keller, 98, Independence, Mo took the hand of Jesus and peacefully went to sleep in the comfort of his home.  A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday July 25, 2015 at The Independence Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 13305 Kemper Avenue, Independence, Mo 64050. Jack was born in Munich, Germany. At the age of 13 he moved, with his parents, to Canada (up in the cold “Robinhood”).  In 1945 he returned to Germany and met the love of his life, Katharine Babl. They were married in New York City on February 17, 1952, and raised their 2 children; Son Alban and daughter Katherine.  He worked as a transmission mechanic for Mack Trucks. After living 45 years in New York, and at the spry age of 80, he and his wife made the ‘big move’ to Independence, Mo. There they formed many close friendships, especially with their church family.  He was a loving and devoted husband as well as being a proud father of his 2 children, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Our family deeply appreciates the loving care and help from The Crossroads Hospice staff. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Independence Seventh-Day Adventist Church or Crossroads Hospice.
