Kathleen Beth Peed, 95, Kansas City, KS passed away June 18, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and three children: her daugher, Ellen, and her sons, Lloyd and Bernie. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Janet Alcanter of Tampa, FL, Frances Anderson of Prairie Village, KS, Patricia and Charles Little of Kansas City, KS and Michael Peed of Kansas City, KS; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; her dog, Buddy, and her bird, Charlie.
Kathleen was a resident of the Kansas City area for 56 years. She retired from Quivira Country Club, where she worked until the age of 73. She was an avid gardener and loved to fish. Kathleen was extremely strong-willed, never giving up on anything.
Kathleen’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Brookdale Hospice, particularly Ginger and Catherine, The Department of Aging and Meals on Wheels.
A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 9:00 AM at Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brookdale Hospice, 5401 College Blvd #112, Overland Park, KS 66211, 913-663-0267.
