Leetta Ruth Donovan-Skaggs, 72, Belton, Mo, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Aug 4, 2014 in the arms of her husband and her son holding her hand.
Leetta was born Nov. 24, 1941 and was raised in Cabool, Mo and Leavenworth, Ks. She is a graduate of Leavenworth High School, Class of 1960, where she met her husband of 52 yr, C. Dewitt Donovan.
Together they have one son, Matthew M. Donovan, Harrisonville, Mo.
Leetta is preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Wilma Skaggs and one brother, Vernon Skaggs, all of Leavenworth, Ks.
She is survived by her husband, C. Dewitt, son Matthew Donovan and wife Ronda, two grandchildren Cody and Kelsie all of Harrisonville, Mo.
All of the family wants to sincerely thank KC Hospice for all their help and support during these trying times. They truly are a blessing to our family. It was only 9 weeks ago Leetta was diagnosed.
Leetta had an exceptionally strong faith that will truly have a special place in heaven.
Leetta, you are truly missed and dearly loved by everyone. I love you sweetheart.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm, August 6, 2014 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
