Marjorie R. King, 76, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 18, 2014, at her home. A visitation will be held 6-7:30 PM, Monday Dec. 22, 2014 at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 also at Heartland. Marjorie was born July 3, 1938 in Quincy, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a son Vincent Shockley. She is survived by her husband James E. King, of Independence, sister Patricia (Kim) Flohr of Billings, MT, sister-in-law Carol Wright, children; Nona (Charlie) Howard, Floyd Shockley, Sue (Mike) Bloss, James A. (Rhia) King, 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She worked for the city of Independence, MO as a municipal court clerk for 19 years. She enjoyed game shows, travel, radio contests (especially winning), playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by all.
