Mary Irene Van Becelaere, 24, Independence, Missouri passed away August 15, 2016. A visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2106 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Independence, Missouri. Burial in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
All of us take comfort in knowing that Mary was a child of God and is with her Savior in Heaven. Mary was also a very caring, and compassionate person who was wise beyond her years. She provided care for children, taking special interest in her friends that were pregnant and single mothers of small babies. Providing shelter, love, and necessities needed for each person that she cared for. Mary was always helping someone whether she knew them or not.
She was born and raised in Independence and has been here all 24 years. Mary graduated in 2010 from Truman High School in Independence, Missouri. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, organizing and her deep concern for her family and friends. Mary loved looking forward to and celebrating the holidays with family and friends.
She is survived by: mother & step father, Lora & Chris Scassellati, Independence, Missouri; father & step mother, Ted & Julie Van Becelaere, Osceola, Missouri; siblings, Joshua Van Becealere, Joseph Van Becelaere (married to Cristina), Jacob “Jake” Van Becelaere (married to Ashley), Marcus Van Beceleaere, Rachael Van Becelaere, Rebekah Van Becelaere, Jerry Eddings (married to Amanda) , Mickey Eddings (married to Natalie) and David Lawhorn as well as her beautiful 5 nieces.
Our family is in dire need of financial support to pay for Mary’s funeral expenses. Mary did not have life insurance, as this was totally unexpected. We are seeking the help of the community to support us through this loss and burden of financial hardship. That is why I am posting on Go Fund Me, my family needs your help in any way you are able or lead to help! Mary was such a BEAUTIFUL Blessing in my life! The day I found out I was pregnant and promised God to name her Mary after Jesus’s mother if she was a girl! She was a gift to my life in so many ways! I love you Mary Irene forever and ALWAYS, MORE AND MORE AND MORE! You now are with your eternal family and I will miss you each and every day but know that wr will be together someday, know that when you left a piece of my heart left with you! So proud of my girl! I love you, Mom XOXOXOXO
