Mary Jane (Bohman) Zoellner

Mary Jane Zoellner, 67, formerly of Stratford, Wisconsin left this earth and entered into her Lord’s loving arms on the morning of Friday, April 10, 2015, at North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, MO.  Mary was born on July 6, 1947 to Jacob and Armella (Breu) Bohman of Stratford.  She grew up on a farm and was a 1965 graduate of Stratford High School.  Mary married Richard Theodore Zoellner on August 20, 1966.  The couple explored job opportunities which led them to the blessing of experiencing the great states of Wisconsin, Texas, Colorado and Arizona.  Mary worked for many years at Allied Signal/Honeywell in Chandler, AZ as an administrative assistant.  She married Gary Lambert in 1998 in Phoenix, AZ and they were later divorced.  She was a hard working person who loved shopping (“Bargain Betty”), reading and watching movies on the Lifetime and Hallmark channels. She also enjoyed watching Young & the Restless and Law & Order reruns.  Most of all, Mary loved her family and loved being a mother.

Survivors include three children, Scott (Tammy) Zoellner, Loyal, Stephen (Heather) Zoellner, Goodyear, AZ and Susanne Zoellner, Kansas City, MO; 6 grandchildren, Kyle Zoellner, Loyal, Jagger Zoellner and Alex Anderson, Kansas City, MO, Isabella Sargent, Clarksburg, West Virginia, Zoe and Stevie Ann Zoellner, Goodyear, AZ; three sisters, Kathleen (Richard) Stark, Margate, FL, Diane (Buddy) Harrison, Fenwood, and Gail (Kenny) Drexler, Marshfield; four brothers, Kenneth Bohman, Duane Bohman, John (Kathy) Bohman and James (Diane) Bohman all of Stratford; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first love, Richard Zoellner; son, Shane Zoellner; brother, Roger Bohman; sister, Gloria (Randy) Kafka; sister-in-law, Margie Bohman and brother-in-law, Floyd (Buddy) Harrison.

The family is planning a combined memorial service for Mary and her late son, Shane Zoellner in late June, 2015.  Exact dates, times and other details will be published at a later date.

    Your LOVE and dedication has carried me through all my days. Your tenderness has shaped my heart. The patience you’ve shown me was unusual and profound. I will miss you everyday. I will keep you close and speak of you all the time. I am a better person because I have you as an example.
