Megan Lynn (Phillips) Dawson

Megan Lynn (Phillips) Dawson, 33, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on January 28, 2016 at her home.

Megan was born on December 25, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri to her parents Ronald Phillips and Barbara (Lakey) Phillips.  Megan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, but what she really loved was her job as an animal groomer.  Because of her love of Jehovah’s animal creation, she chose a vegetarian lifestyle.  Megan’s great sense of humor and passion for life brightened the lives of her friends and family.

The loves of her life were her three beautiful daughters, Keira, Lani and Aubrey Dawson.  She is survived by her father Ronald (Deborah) Phillips and mother Barbara Phillips; sisters Rita Chase and Crystal Phillips, brother Dale Shockley and numerous loving cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  Megan was preceded in death by her sister Rhonda Phillips.

I’m way behind finding this out but Megan was a close friend of mine freshman year in high school when she moved in across the street from me with her dad in Springfield.
I have wondered what happened to her for a long time after she moved back to KC area. We used to get ready for school together with another friend on the same street. We had a lot of fun and Took a four-day trip to Kansas City together to see our families in December 1997. She was a nice & fun girl. I am bummed that she is gone and that I didn’t find a way to get in touch with her sooner. I love that she ended up doing a lot with her short time on this planet. I will continue to miss you Megan! ?
