Opal G. Royalty

Opal Gwen Royalty, age 64 of Grandview, MO went to be with her Lord Jesus on March 21, 2015 at Truman Medical Center after a battle with cancer.

Gwen was born July 3, 1950 in Marshall, MO to Darrell and Mildred Gravitt, the third of seven children. She grew up in Kansas City and attended Raytown High School, graduating in 1968. She married Samuel Lee Royalty in May of 1970 and together they lived and raised four children in Kansas City until their divorce in 1997.

Gwen was a proud homemaker most of her life, until 1999 when she earned her real estate license and she enjoyed working as a realtor for many years.

Gwen is preceded in death by her father Darrell Gravitt, brother, Farrell Gravitt, brother Bill Gravitt, sister Marilyn Gravitt and her grandson Conor Andrew Royalty.

She is survived by three sons, Matthew (Carol) Royalty of Hill City, SD, Mark (Jessica) Royalty of Rapid City, SD, Michael Royalty of Somerset, KY and one daughter Misty (Allen) Wilson of
Grandview, MO. Her mother, Mildred Gravitt of Grandview, MO one brother Paul Gravitt, Grandview, MO and one sister, Beverly Bianchi, Grandview, MO.

Gwen is also survived by her ten grandchildren, Alex, Tristan, Noah, Micah, Anthony, Shaelynn, Erika, Caleb, Austin, Lucas and many nieces and nephews.

Gwen was member of Gospel Fellowship church in Grandview, MO where she enjoyed the fellowship of many friends and loved ones. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, daughter,
sister, aunt and cousin. She was a friend to all her knew and loved her and she will be missed by us all.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, March 27, 2015 and Memorial service on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm, both held at Gospel Fellowship Church 13011 Grandview Rd, Grandview
MO 64030. The family requests donations be made in Gwen’s honor to the Opal G. Royalty Memorial Fund through US Bank.

    Just wanted Gwen’s children to know we are thinking and praying for them everyday. You have a lot a family that are in their hearts. Sorry we are not able to make it to her service. Want you to know any and all are welcomed any time.
