Patrick Munro Ryan, 64, passed away at Summit Nursing Home, Kansas City, Mo. on November 8, 2014. Patrick was born at Conley Maternity Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. on April 7, 1950, to Alice (Farrar) and Edward John Ryan, both deceased.
Survivors include two sons Aaron Patrick Edminster, Leavenworth, Ks. Joseph Edminster, Kansas City, KS, step-son Elijah Edminster, Kansas City, KS; sons’ mother Sabrina Edminster; daughter Alice Ann Ryan. Olathe, KS; and her mother Helen Jo Ryan, Prairie Village, KS, step-son Keith Butts, DeSoto, KS; grandchildren Aariana Edminster, Joseph Edminster and step-grandson Kane Dressler, his good friend Kay Emory and pals at the nursing home.
Pat had the appearance of a true Irishman and the personality to go with it. He had twinkly blue eyes with attending Cheshire grin, appearing to have a secret. A favorite pastime in his youth was playing baseball. Much of his life was spent disabled from debilitating diabetes. He loved to socialize, read and eat. It was fun to present him food as every morsel was a joy to him with attending noise to indicate his pleasure. May he rest in peace.
