Richard Wayne Roberts

Richard Wayne Roberts, 55, passed away Thursday, January 15th, 2015 at home with his family.  Visitation will be held on January 24th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with a memorial service following at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church fo the Resurrection, 601 NE Jefferson, Blue Springs, MO. 64014.

Rick was born on October 31, 1959 in Odessa, Missouri, to Bob and Doris Roberts. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1978. He was a meat cutter by profession. He loved sports. He loved playing, watching and especially teaching sports. Rick was an avid outdoorsman; he loved fishing, hunting and just spending time with nature. He took great pride in his gardening skills and loved brightening the workd with his flowers. most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

 Rick is survived by his wife, Wanda, of Blue Springs, MO., his mother and father, Doris and Bob Roberts, of Independence, MO., his brother, Randy and wife Shari Roberts, of Grain Valley, MO., and his sister, Tammy and husband James White, of Raytown, MO., step-daughter and spouse, two step grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
