Robert Ray Eschrich

Robert Ray Eschrich, 81, of Columbia, passed away on June 15, 2016.

A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 904 Old Highway 63 South, Columbia, MO at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Katherine, three sons, Robin Eschrich of St. Louis, MO, Clay (Keri) Eschrich of Saratoga Springs, UT and Seth Eschrich of Arvada, CO, three daughters, Melanie (Chris) Goodman of South Jordan, UT, Heidi (Mark) Burris of Columbia, MO and Molly Swift of St. Louis, MO, one brother, Virgil Eschrich of Mountain View, MO, 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Ernst and Maude Eschrich, sisters Audrey Maxine, Kathleen Huffman, Ernestine Duffield, Pauline Sansouci, and twin sister Edith Fay Norman.

A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where Bob served in all of his callings with love and devotion, his life was one of constant service and will be remembered as always there for his fellowman.

Bob was a union carpenter by trade, later having a remodeling business. At the time of his death he was supervising the building of houses for Habitat for Humanity.
