Virgil Luce JR

Virgil Luce JR, 84, Kansas City, Missouri passed away April 21, 2016 at home.  A visitation will be held 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM.  Graveside services will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, Des Moines, Iowa, 1:00 PM, Friday, April 29, 2016.

Virgil was born October 2nd, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa.  He was a furniture salesman in Kansas City for many years.  Virgil served his country Honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War where he earned two Bronze Battle Stars, a Korean War Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and two overseas bars.  He will be remembered for his love of sports, fishing and upholstering.

Virgil is preceded in death by; father, Virgil O. Luce, mother, Lucille Luce; sisters, Bonnie Henderson and Barbara Williams.  He is survived by: children, Kristi Luce, Phoenix, Arizona, Mona Cato, Medford, Oregon, Ricky Luce, Des Moines, Iowa, Jeffrey Luce, Des Moines, Iowa, David Earlston, Belton, Missouri, Tonie Clark, Jacksonville, Florida, Cindy (Ron) Pennington Matthews, Ft Worth, Texas, Jaye (Jay) Ingram, Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, David A Earlston, Raymore, Missouri, Clint Earlston, LeMoore, California, Taylor Presutti, Jacksonville, Florida and Dorothy Ingram, Kansas City, Missouri.
