William E. ‘Bill’ Thomson, Jr

Bill Thomson, Jr., 87, Raymore, Mo passed away May 15, 2016. He was born in Kansas City on June 5, 1928. He graduated from Central High School in 1945, served honorably in the U.S. Army, 1950-1952 and was a “Sachem” in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Bill acted as president of Deitz Hill Development Co. (a company involved in the crushed stone industry).
Bill leaves two daughters, Cynthia Anderson (Don) of Independence, Mo and Shelly Galloway (Carl) of Peculiar, Mo, a sister Nancy Markt, Ft. Myers, Fl, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Cremation. Graveside services at Forest Hill Calvary Cemetery, 6901 Troost Ave., Kansas City, Mo at 2 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2016.  All friends and family are invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Yobel International or online at yobelinternational.org
Bill loved to listen to his music, to garden and to bake pies. If he had ever entered the country baking contest, he would have won the blue ribbon without a doubt! The most notable thing about Bill was his character. He was both, a man of his word and a man of integrity. He took pride in his family, first and foremost, through thick and thin he was always there for them. No one ever doubted how deeply he loved them.
The mold was broken when Bill was born; his family and friends will love and remember him forever…   Thank you Dad and Grandpa! We will miss you!!
