Veronica L. Peed-Mackey
	Veronica L. Peed-Mackey, 83, of Kansas City, KS passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home from lung cancer. Mrs. Mackey was born February 13, 1927 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Raymond & Hazel (Kirkpatrick) Peed. Veronica had a 21 year long career with Ambassador Food service where she was a chef for Proctor and Gamble. She had an intense love of horses and was an avid fan of Marilyn Monroe. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Hazel, and a brother Frank. She is survived by a brother Raymond; son, Steve; daughters: Celeste Balwin and Marsha Estes; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 8, 2010 at 10:00 am at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society and/or Kansas City Hospice.
