Why Heartland Cremation

Heartland Cremation's Funeral Home Founders

In 2001, Heartland Cremation & Burial Society was founded in Kansas City, Missouri by Andrew & Elizabeth Loos. It was their belief that families in the Greater Kansas City area were looking for a low cost, affordable, Worry Free cremation alternative to the high price of cremation services offered at local funeral homes. With four generations of experience in the funeral and cremation business, Andrew & Elizabeth recognized the need in the Greater Kansas City area for a funeral home focused on simple cremation services.

In 2004, Heartland Cremation & Burial Society expanded their operation to include an innovative, convenient Cremation Arrangement Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Heartland was the first Cremation Society licensed to offer the same low cost, affordable & Worry Free cremation services in both the states of Missouri & Kansas. The communities of Leawood, Prairie Village, Lenexa and Olathe have all welcomed the addition of their Cremation Arrangement Center.

Funeral Home StaffAs Heartland Cremation & Burial Society grew beyond the Greater Kansas City area, increasingly families from Columbia, Missouri were inquiring about their great service options. So in 2006, Joe & Rachel Kinney established the Central Missouri office of Heartland Cremation & Burial Society. With Joe’s nearly 10 years of experience in the cremation business, he was a perfect fit with the goal of helping families facing financial challenges in Columbia, Boonville, Macon & Jefferson City, Missouri.
