Brent J. Rohr

Brent J. Rohr, 66, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away July 11th, 2025. Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00pm with service from 6:00 to 7:00pm, Thursday, July 17th, 2025 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, MO. Brent was born in Kansas City, MO, on January 17th, 1959, to Hubert Rohr and Mary Jeanne Davis.

Brent was a loving, caring father and grandfather. A role model to his family and mentor to many others. He was a true friend who was always willing to help out, even with a last minute’s notice. He spent his career as a carpenter of over 35 years with the Mid-America’s Carpenter’s Union; gaining a brotherhood of life long friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking for the holidays, being at the lake, working on home projects, and fixing things. There seemed to be nothing that he was unable to build or fix. Over the past several years, Brent had bravely faced many serious health challenges, and overcame them with strength and determination. We are comforted in knowing that he is now at peace.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mary Jeanne and Bruce Buddemeyer; his father and step-mother, Hubert and Norma Rohr; and his brother, Stephen Rohr.

In passing Brent leaves, his daughter, Ginger (Alan) Shope; his son, Brandon (Danielle) Rohr; grandchildren, Vincent and Josie Collura; life partner, Missy Laval; her daughters, Cassie (Jeremy) Miller and Katie (Jacob) Stanfield; and their grandchildren, Mason, Maelie, and Noah “Roy” Stanfield and Ashley Miller. He also leaves behind three loyal canine companions, Myla, Sweetpea, and Luna.

Brent was the best neighbor ever. He was always friendly and I enjoyed our chats while I was gardening. I’ll never forget the time that my husband and I were attempting to bring in a heavy table. Brent stopped backing out of his driveway, jumped out of his truck and hustled over to take my end as I was faltering. Brent had a hernia at the time and shouldn’t have been lifting anything but here he came to help, with no hesitation. Brent was a dear, sweet, good and decent man. He will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathy to Ginger, Alan and the kids ,Brandon and his wife and Missy and her family. I know they are heartbroken.

I just heard the news of Brent’s passing. I didn’t hear anything that it happened. I would have definitely come to the services. Brent and I had been friends since I was a senior and he was a junior at Raytown South High after he moved back here from NY state . We had chemistry class together and worked together at Al’s Mobil in Lee’s Summit. We loved cars and working on them. We had lost track of each other for many years until 1 day while I was at work, he showed up to fix one of our overhead doors. Then we lost track again until reuniting this last summer. He came over and help me with our camper and I’d go help him at Missy’s house here in Raytown. He invited my wife and I to come spend the weekend at their lake house this summer. The last I heard from him was his post on Facebook with the fireworks show at the lake. He was a dear friend and I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his families. 😥😓❤️‍🩹🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. I had been friends with Brent in high school, Fredonia, NY. We had just started to be in contact over the past year or so. He always had kind words about the music I made and shared it with his friends. This morning I woke up and said “I haven’t heard from Brent in a while”, so I went to his FB page and found he had passed. Please know you have my sincere condolences.
