Daniel Garold Smith

Daniel Garold Smith, 69, of Golden, MO passed away July 14, 2025. Daniel was born on May 23, 1956 in Kansas City, MO.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am following the visitation. Burial will follow at Belton Cemetery.

Daniel grew up in Grandview, MO. He graduated from Grandview High School class of 1974. Daniel worked as a warehouse supervisor at North Supply Company in Gardner, KS for many years. He then worked as a mechanic for Lift Truck Sales in Kansas City, MO. Daniel was married December 27, 1975 to Sue Ragusa. They had two children, Danny and Andrea. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Daniel enjoyed classic cars and classic music. He enjoyed cheering on the Royals and the Chiefs. Daniel will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Harold and Virginia Smith; and grandson, Alex Green.

Survivors include: wife, Sue Smith of Golden, MO; son, Danny (Amy) Smith of Peculiar, MO; daughter, Andrea (Chris) Green of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren: Andrew Green, Jared Smith and Aiden Green; brother, Jim Smith of Pittsburg, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
