Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
David Erik Hohenfeldt was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on the 28th of October 1985, to Randall Stephen and Carolyn Sue Hohenfeldt (Rambo). He passed away from natural causes on July 11th, 2025.
David spent his childhood years in Kansas City and adamantly loved all things KC, especially the Chiefs, the Royals, and BBQ.
As a young man, he worked as a nursing assistant caring for others, before settling in to doing the work he enjoyed for many years, upkeeping lawns across the metro.
He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, BBQing, even working was better outdoors. He spent many childhood summers lakeside, and continued that tradition with his own children, nieces, and nephews.
David was close with his parents and siblings, and nothing brought him more joy than his 3 beautiful children Harmony May Anderson, Erica Lynn Hohenfeldt, and Brayden Erik Hohenfeldt.
He was proceeded in death by his dad, Randy, and his grandparents Roger and Mary Hohenfeldt & George and Opal Rambo.
David is survived by his mother Carol; children Harmony, Erica, and Brayden; siblings Christina, Rhiana, Rebecca, Timothy, and Daniel; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces; as well as many other family members and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 4pm Saturday, August 2nd at A. Ives Reid Celebration Center in Belton, Missouri, to include a short service followed by a reception with BBQ to honor his memory and spirit.
