Gregory Alan Emlet

On Monday, March 25th, 2024, Gregory Alan Emlet of Kansas City, Missouri took his final rest. Greg was born to Harold Gene Emlet and Barbara Sue Emlet on June 27, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri. Greg spent his 65 years in Kansas City. He attended Center High School, where he graduated in 1976. Greg held many positions including many years at House of LLoyds and Ford Motor Company. 

Greg enjoyed people and the outdoors and was often found in those places. Greg enjoyed The Kansas City Renaissance Festival, Royals Baseball games, and walks through Loose Park. He loved to make others laugh, and was always quick to offer a helping hand to anyone he found needed one. Greg loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren.  

Greg is preceded in passing by his father Gene Emlet and mother Barbara (Bobbi) Emlet, Kansas City, MO. Greg is survived by his son Gregory Austin Emlet (Julie) and their four children: Kyndall, Kamden, Liam, and Lynleigh of Liberty, MO; twin sisters Dana (Brian) of Shawnee, KS; Debi (Gary) of Overland Park, KS; along with many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty, Overland Park, KS, 66204, in the Hearth Room, from 11:15am to 1:45pm.

    I am so sorry for the family’s loss. I loved Greg so much. He was one of my oldest and best friends. He was truly a beautiful soul. I look forward to seeing him again in heaven.

    The Emlet men have a special place in my heart for many years and.your father would be so proud of the man and father you have become.
