Tammi Lea Barnes, 58, of Kansas City Missouri, passed away June 6, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by love at home.

Tammi is proceeded in death by her mother, Edna Lea Bragg, her twin grandsons, Simon Lee King and Sawyer Michael King and her sister Dana Lee.

Tammi is survived by her three children, April Barnes, Andrew Howen and Katey Howen and three sisters, Cassie Bogue-Hines, Kelly Lee and Donna Lee . As well as many nieces, nephews and friends that became like family, including Selene King as a granddaughter.

Tammi loved classic rock ‘n’ roll and was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Tammi was an active supporter of the You Matter movement. Tammi leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her family and friends.

    Rest in peace Tammi. I remember the day we first met in sixth grade and the many years that followed through school best of friends . We lost track because life took us different directions. Now I I have found you have been called home after a long search to reconnect with you.
    My dear old friend I have missed you a long many years and hope to see you again in heaven.
